I was diagnosed at age 38 with stage 4 breast cancer. Taking chemo in pill form and bunch of other medications. Trying to stay strong for my kids and take it step by step and being grateful for every single passing second.

my “out of line” comment is directed to doyouhaveasister. Don’t know why it showed up in the general comment area.

WAY out of line. Reassess, re-examine, re-evaluate and re-adjust values and priorities.

i went to my dr. with sever pain in my right breast…was told that cancer doesn’t hurt (lol) and the pain was due to my caffine intake…so for 2 years i blamed myself whenever it hurt…then 2 years later a lump appeared…dimpling effect… stage III ILC with 10 post lym/nods..i am 2 years out now from a double masectomy- chemo- rad and doing hormone therapy now…i am surviving!

I am always humbled by those who are going through such testing times, but despite being tried by life, soar above the rest of us to speak up, make their voice heard and start to challenge the paradigm. Stefanie is courageous to take on western medicine practitioners with their cookie-cutter approach to a human’s well being. A concept that has never and will never work.

Wow! I’m amazed with her courage & ability to see past herself to help others. My cousin died at 28 from breast cancer. Her doctors did the same thing & said it was something else, it can’t be cancer…they sent her home with drugs to work on her thyroid- ignored her pains & complaints. She then got pregnant & then the doctors found a lump in her armpit. They realized at that point she was in stage 4 of the cancer & nothing could stop the spreading. She died after having her baby.

I couldn’t agree more. Do your own research and stand up for your own health.

In This Time’s a Charm; Lessons of a Four-Time Cancer Survivor, Donald A. Wilhelm tells his real-life story from a patient’s perspective about surviving cancer four times. His intent is to give his readers a true depiction of what cancer, and its treatment, is really like. He intends his eBook to parallel an old Chinese proverb that says: “To know the road ahead, ask those coming back.”

For sure, doctors told me I was too young to have nerve damage and be in pain!
